Fergusons Hearing Aid Clinic is an independent hearing aid audiology practice owned and managed by Peter and Margaret Ferguson who are both qualified hearing aid audiologists. This independence allows for the prescribing and recommending of the most appropriate hearing aids irrespective of the manufacturer.

The late Willie Ferguson, Peter’s father, established the practice in 1962 in Limerick. As the practice grew more space was needed and the current premises was purchased and renovated in 2002. There is convenient parking close by in car parks and on the street. Also the train and bus station is approximately 8 minutes walk. A satellite clinic was established in Tralee in 1998. This clinic is now located in Fairies Cross Medical Centre, Clonalour, Tralee. There is car parking on the grounds of the Medical Centre. This clinic is adjacent to the train and bus station.

The top-of-the-range Unity 2 audiometer, Real Ear Measurement, Text Box and Practice Management system was installed. Peter and Margaret were involved in the development of the system both in the UK and Germany.

This state-of-the-art system provides a very detailed and comprehensive analysis of hearing loss allowing for the prescription and fitting of the most appropriate hearing aids. This analysis is all the more important now, as new and very sophisticated hearing aid technology is becoming available.

The main clinic in Limerick has two fully equipped sound treatment assessment rooms including soundproof booths for hearing assessment and video otoscopic cameras for ear protection. The Tralee clinic is located within a quiet area of the medical centre and also has a soundproof booth and video otoscopic camera.

Continuing Education is a high priority for Peter and Margaret who regularly attend meetings and conferences in Ireland, Europe and the US.
